Our team have installed a new bathroom for father, John Ieronimo, after his recent diagnosis.
At 78 years old, John has type two diabetes and has more recently been diagnosed with mixed dementia.
Mixed dementia is a condition in which John has more than one type of dementia which causes John difficulty in remembering his daily routines.
But John’s family have been there to support him every step of the way.
When his son, Darren, realised his father was struggling to use the bath and overhead shower, he started looking at alternative solutions.
Darren said: “His bath, although perfectly functional, was a physical and mental barrier to him taking a shower.
“As it was never used as a bath. It was just somewhere for dad to stand whilst he took a shower.
“So we decided to get a new walk-in shower cubicle installed.”
The user-friendly walk-in shower has replaced the basic bath and made showering much simpler.
With a spacious and safer cubicle with a wide door for easy access, John can enjoy a shower without any complications.
After three days of our engineers working to fit the installation, John was left with a clean and useable bathroom.
Darren said: “The service was good from start to finish. The engineers were professional, clean, prompt and competent.
“On the whole – it was an excellent service. We are all pleased with the workmanship and end result. And the new tiles were almost perfectly matched to the existing tiles installed 20-plus years ago.”
