North Wingfield residents have come together to enjoy an afternoon tea on us as part of our Love Your Street initiative.
Love Your Street is one of the ways we engage with our customers and communities as part of our Your Voice programme.
Over the years the residents of Eyam Close have looked after their street, keeping the idea tidy, creating beautiful gardens and removing and recycling any litter.
So, it seemed only right that we should go and surprise them with an invitation to afternoon tea.
The tables were laid with mis-matched china, the sandwiches were piled in triangles and the residents came together for a lovely afternoon out.
One of the residents said: "Please offer my sincere thanks to your employees who provided myself and fellow residents with afternoon tea in June.
“It was a delightful surprise and after twelve years resident in the close a totally unexpected event.
“To date Acis have proved to be the best landlord we have had regarding repairs."
Dorothy Cunningham, our Area Service Manager, said: “I nominated Eyam Close because the residents have put a lot of time into making their gardens beautiful and I thought that should be recognised.
“I’m glad the afternoon tea was a success, and we were able to give back to the community.”
Claire Tunstall, our Customer Engagement Coordinator, said: “Our ambition with Love Your Street is to uphold our commitment to the areas we work in and encourage our customers to build communities they can be proud of.
“It was wonderful to be able to able to take our event to North Wingfield in the form of an afternoon tea, to say thank you to the residents for all their hard work keeping their street and local community looking so bright, colourful and welcoming with their well-kept gardens and great community spirit.”
