Our Supporting Foundations programme has been expanded to help people unlock their potential and find suitable work.
We’ve been delivering Supporting Foundations for the last four years – and now we’re delighted to announce we’ve been given extra funding to expand its reach.
The programme helps our customers overcome various barriers in their life, supporting them with things like financial, health or wellbeing issues.
With new funding from the European Social Fund (ESF), via Bishop Grosseteste University and the Greater Lincolnshire Local Enterprise Partnership, we can support even more people.
Over nine months we will be supporting people who are unaware work is an option for them and are faced with multiple and often complex barriers to employment.
Our Supporting Foundatitons programme is unquiely placed to be able to identtify those who could benefit, with support provided through welfare contact calls and referrals from wider teams and specialist partners.
Hannah Taylor-Dales, Business Development Manager at Acis Group, said: "The funding from ESF allows us to combine employment support through our Riverside Training team with our wellbeing service, offering greatter opportunities for those involved to progress and grow on thier journey."
Starting with a focus on welfare concerns for each individual for example, access to foood, medication and mental health support, the focus will then shift towards longer-term needs.
Working with our partner Riverside Training, individuals will be supported to create employment specific goals and take part in training to help them learn new skills, broaden their experiences and access accredited and non-accredited training.
