CLIP Learning centres, part of Acis Group, are proud to announce the launch of Thriving Abilities and Diverse Connections, an innovative program, funded by Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust Virtual Autism Hub, dedicated to providing a community for autistic people and their families who live in Lincolnshire, through online and face-to-face support.
These community groups are designed to provide hope, skills, and connection for individuals facing the unique challenges autism might bring. Whether it's building confidence, making friendships, or providing support with everyday life, the program, starting in June, aims to help participants and their loved ones. Thriving Abilities will be delivered in Gainsborough and Diverse Connections will be delivered in Mablethorpe, but those across Lincolnshire are welcome to join.
Some of the key areas the program offers are:
- Providing autistic people with in-person and online engagement activities, an opportunity to connect, share experiences and socialise at our friendly learning centres.
- Providing carers and parents of autistic people support, through advice, resource packs, learning from peers and signposting.
- Providing an online support group each week for individuals who might not find face to face accessible, who require access to advice, support and guidance.
Joining the sessions is simple and accessible. Anyone who is interested can visit their local CLIP centre or Riverside Training in Gainsborough, or send an email to info@cliplearning.com or enquiries@riverside-training.org.uk for more information. The team will be creating twice weekly drop-in sessions, as well as online sessions to connect.
Barbara Hancock, Wellbeing Services Manager at CLIP, shared her excitement about the initiative, "We are thrilled to be a part of this project and the invaluable support it will provide to individuals with autism and their families. This contract represents a real step forward for inclusivity and empowerment in Lincolnshire."
