Half of the people supported by Riverside Training in South Yorkshire have so far gone onto find work in the area.
Over the last 18 months, Riverside Training have been delivering employability services on behalf of the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority through its Adult Education Budget.
Its collaborative work, joining forces with likeminded organisations across Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham and Doncaster, has proved invaluable – with 50% of the people being supported having already found work, with dozens of others progressing closer towards the employment market.
Riverside’s quartet of Anthony, Roberta, Louise and Keli have worked with a range of organisations, including the Growth Company, Guinness Partnerships, Rotherham Early Help Centre, Zest Community Centre, Rotherham and Doncaster Chamber of Commerce, Rotherham Council, Hope Church, YMCA, Eastwood Community Centre, Places for People, Clarion Housing, Shaw Trust, Salvation Army, Sheffield City Council and many more.
They have also worked closely with local foodbanks and charities and the team were regular faces at numerous regular events, including local jobs and careers fairs – often bringing the community together across South Yorkshire at their own events.
